    Abstract

Determination of carrier multiplication efficiencies in colloidal quantum dots may be performed using transient absorption or time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy. We aim to find whether terahertz techniques allow these values to be determined more reliably. Initial measurements on commercial dots demonstrate the viability of the technique. © 2013 IEEE.
