Abstract
In commenting on Goldberg's article and book (Goldberg 2006), I concentrate on three points: (1) the importance of general learning mechanisms for language acquisition; (2) the relationship between form and function in learning and in the adult system; and (3) the combination of constructions. © 2009 Walter de Gruyter.
