Abstract
Most research articles in journals have a standard structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Each has a clear remit except for the Discussion, which to a less experienced writer may seem hopelessly vague. What should it cover? Here I set out six things to be included, with explanations and examples, all aimed at helping the reader get the most from the reported research.
