Abstract
'El corre corre' juxtaposes two fast and very rhythmic themes that are nonetheless different from one another. Whereas the first rhythmic idea was inspired by the sound quality of the drums, the second one exploits the percussive and melodic characteristic of the upper register of the piano. It is this differentiation that gives both themes their distinct identities. The introduction of a third, faster theme propels the music to its conclusion where all three ideas coexist.
