Abstract
Electrophysiological measures that can be used to objectively evaluate binaural interaction in cochlear implantees include the binaural interaction component (BIC) and an evoked potential analog of the 'masking-level difference' (MLD). Results from normal listeners show that cortical auditory-evoked responses obtained using these methods can be used to measure binaural processing. Preliminary data from three sequentially implanted adults are presented. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
