Abstract
The lives of Elizabeth and William Gaskell and their daughters are represented and narrated in the restored interiors of 84 Plymouth Grove, where the family lived from 1850 to 1913. The displays and interpretation are based on historical, literary and art historical research, and include works of art, objects, texts and furniture associated with the Gaskells.
