Enabling the Past. New Perspectives in the History of Disability

This co-written essay introduces the key themes that connect disability studies to the social history of medicine, and introduces the key themes and contributions to the co-edited special edition of the European Review of History, the first time this journal approached the issue of disability in historical studies.
