Enhancing the frequency range of measurement for an accelerometer

    Abstract

    A simple method is proposed here to enhance the frequency range of measurement for an accelerometer based on laboratory experiments. The proposed method generates a Characteristic Function (CF) in frequency domain for the test accelerometer by comparing with other high frequency accelerometers such that the CF can be used to correct the amplitude and phase measurement beyond the linearity frequency range for the test accelerometer.
