Abstract
Investigation of facts as a methodology is developed for use in work environment cases in which one or more employees perceive themselves (or their colleagues) as experiencing unhealthy or unacceptable work situations, or being at the receiving end of unacceptable behaviour, destructive managers, interpersonal conflicts, bullying and harassment.
Investigation (of facts) forms part of a workplace restorative perspective and is based on the (Norwegian) Work Environment Acts, legal requirements with respect to due process and informed by psychological theories of justice. The authors demonstrate how investigations should be conducted, which systems should be in place, and how this method can contribute to restoring a safe and responsible work environment.
The book is aimed at employers, HR or personnel managers. private consultants, occupational health services, lawyers, employees, safety representatives and shop stewards.
