Research output: Non-textual formWeb publication/site

Abstract

Four ERSC/NERC-funded transdisciplinary seminars were held over seven days between 2007 and 2009. They achieved following aims:
(i) built capacity for inter-disciplinary research on fire and its impacts on ecosystem services of UK heaths and moorlands;
(ii) established a cross-cutting interdisciplinary research agenda on the relationships between ecosystem services, managed fire and wildfire in UK heaths and moorlands, especially the implications of increased wildfire risk under climate change scenarios;
(iii) facilitated knowledge exchange between policy makers, moorland managers, researchers and other stakeholders.
