Abstract

This special issue invited contributions from practitioners and analysts on the emerging ‘Foresight 3.0’ theme. Each paper shows a novel combination of practical methods and tools, and/or fundamental concepts in the Foresight 3.0 approach, with applications from the ‘STEEP’ range (social, technological, economic, environmental, political, cultural) (Loveridge 2008). Overall, this special issue aims to demonstrate new thinking and applications of Foresight 3.0. We aim to advance the theory and practice of collective forward intelligence, and set out new directions for research and innovation.
