Abstract
A training and awareness-raising programme focused on gender and data, delivered from November 2024 to March 2025. Designed for journalists, researchers, and civil society actors in the Western Balkans, the initiative explores how gender bias shapes data collection, analysis, and reporting. Through online workshops, case studies, and practical exercises, participants learn how to critically assess gender-disaggregated data, identify gaps, and apply open data principles for more inclusive storytelling. The project promotes transparent, reproducible practices using tools like GitHub and GitBook to support collaborative learning and public engagement.
