Abstract

This guest editorial introduces the articles in this special issue which reflect a range of themes to be considered in implementing and embedding quality learning and teaching in primary schools internationally. It underscores the benefits of documentary and empirical research which should continue to promote and demonstrate the importance of including FLs in the primary curriculum.
