Abstract
Herpes zoster is an uncommon acute viral infection caused by reactivation of varicella-zoster virus. Presented is a case of herpes zoster involving the trigeminal nerve masquerading as odontalgia. The difficulties in diagnosis and management are discussed. © 2010 John Wiley & Sons A/S.
