Abstract
A keynote address to the AGM of the body that publishes a review journal of SF. The talk used as an example my then upcoming novelet 'Days of Wonder' of the difficulties of writing Mundane SF and of trying to uncover fresh SF ideas that do not lead, despite their basis in new research, to familiar images and genre tropes.
