Abstract

Here we report on a discussion session that took place during the Collaborations Workshop 2021, organized by the Software Sustainability Institute from the 30th of March to the 1st of April. Software developers and researchers gathered together to discuss different topics around software including FAIR principles; equality, diversity and inclusion; and software sustainability. In our session, we discussed attitudes, advantages and challenges around the adoption (also referred to as implementation in this document) of the FAIR principles for research software.
