Abstract

This work gives an overview of how the new General Optical Council outcomes can be achieved using a layered online tracking system which allows evidence to be collected in a multitude of ways including summative and formative assessment, patient examination, portfolio, discussion, and situational judgement at different levels. This inclusive, transparent approach gives the learner alternative ways of demonstrating they have met outcomes and was developed in conduction with a medical education developer
