Abstract
A seven-compartment model for ferrokinetics is presented here and an optimization algorithm of the gradient type for the evaluation of its parameters is described. The reliability of the parameter estimates is tested calculating marginal standard deviations by computing the information matrix through the sensitivity coefficients. The reality and clinical implications of the model are discussed and the values ofits parameters in normal and anemic states speculated upon. © 1978.
