Is Privacy Overrated?

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In this short paper, I want to raise the question of whether privacy makes sense in relation to some types of biological information – specifically, genetic information. I am going to suggest that it does not, and that regulatory frameworks that take privacy as their starting point would therefore miss the morally important problems.
