    Abstract

This paper presents a methodology to estimate the load levels in low voltage buses fed by radial distribution systems. The proposed optimization algorithm ensures that the final load allocation is in agreement with the few real-time measurements available. The bus voltages are simultaneously estimated as the load allocation is iteratively re-calculated. The method has been tested and validated in a 39 buses, 20 kV distribution network. © 2011 IEEE.
