Abstract
The internal boundary between the Caribbean and the Andean region has
been characterized for having -in the last two decades an important role in
the dynamics of national civil war. So much so that within the 14 strategic
areas that define the security forces, 7 are within this macro region. To
know the reason for this military effort, this article aims to determine the
spatial dynamics of the internal war in the territories of the macro region.
As is apparent, the present study falls within the field of Homeland Security.
