    Abstract

We investigate the shape mixing in 68Se using the adiabatic self-consistent collective method. This nucleus 68Se is known to show oblate-prolate shape coexistence at low angular momentum. We calculate the collective path between the oblate and prolate minima and show how the collective behaviour of the system changes with angular momentum. © 2005 IOP Publishing Ltd.
