Abstract
This paper seeks to highlight the female labor structure in the province of Santiago in nineteenth century. With an exhaustive archival document can observe differents occupations, professions and trades women conducted in the region, allowing better understand occupational concentration and sexual segregation of women in the market. The paper is a contribution to the further discussions on labor and economic historiography of Latin America and allows for a more inclusive look at the history of Chile.
