    Abstract

Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is an uncommon craniofacial fibroosseous lesion distinguished by its locally aggressive behaviour and high recurrence rate. We report a unique case of a JOF of the anterior mandible in a patient with Apert syndrome. The clinical, radiological and histopathological features, along with management strategiesof this distinct clinical entity are discussed. © 2011 John Wiley & Sons A/S.
