    Abstract

As a new approach of automatic speaker authentication [1], VIV has manifested excellent performance in English, which turns to be complementary with speaker verification. In this paper, we study the VIV for users who speak Mandarin Chinese, the most widely used language in the world. We present our methodologies to build target acoustic models and anti-models for Mandarin VIV. In our experiments of 50 Chinese speakers, the EER reaches 0.00% with robust interval of 8.2%, which indicates that our Mandarin VIV technologies are promising for Mandarin speaker authentication.
