    Abstract

A new rotational band has been identified in Zr103 with a proposed 3/2+ band head located at 26.8 keV. Quasiparticle rotor model calculations performed in the present work suggest a ν3/2+ [411] dominant configuration for this band. The calculations also indicate that Zr103 has axial prolate deformation. © 2009 The American Physical Society.
