Medium power x-ray crystal optics for synchrotron radiation sources

    Abstract

    The performance is described of a H2O-cooled channel-cut x-ray monochromator which is able to sink 30 W of thermal power (with no discernable compromise in performance) from a high power synchrotron radiation source. In addn. to enhanced peak intensity compared with a simple channel-cut monochromator, the long-term stability of the monochromator is improved. [on SciFinder(R)]
