    Abstract

This paper describes the use of microwave Doppler sensors for measuring the flow velocity of vertical gas-water, oil-water and gas-oil-water flows. The microwave Doppler system has a single dielectric-filled antenna flush mounted on the wall of a metallic pipe, and delivers liquid velocity data with accuracy within ±10% of reading over a wide range of gas-volume fractions.
