    Abstract

Power amplifiers are a key component of the circuitry that drives radio frequency and microwave transmission and have received a great deal of attention and development effort over the last decade. In this talk various microwave active components used in the microwave power amplifiers will be examined and their principle working conditions will be presented with a summary of the current technology available.
