    Abstract

A four-scale continuous wavelet transform filter bank implemented in a 0.18 μm CMOS process is presented. Experimental results demonstrate the real-time multi-scale analysis of electrocardiogram signals with a power consumption of 1.3 nW, the lowest reported power consumption for a complete wavelet filter bank. In addition, the results demonstrate for the first time the use of pico-amp scale currents in a 0.18 μm CMOS process for providing advanced signal processing functions. © 2014 The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
