Pattern and movement detection in patients with reduced visual acuity

    Abstract

    Using the contrast reversal and on-off presentation of gratings we separated contrast thresholds for the detection of pattern and movement in several patients. It was found that the spatial resolution limits for both these tasks are reduced, and their ratio is similar to that in normal observers.
