Abstract
Not surprisingly, in 2022, Paul Smith opened its 3294 sq. ft. highly innovative flagship store at a popular and bustling location on Harumi-Dori Street (one of Ginza’s two main shopping avenues) in Tokyo (Superfuture, 2022). Japan stands as Paul Smith’s most significant overseas market, representing about 40% of its total turnover. While many fashion designers did not make it in Japan, Paul Smith attributes his business’s success to his sincere passion for the country, its culture, and its people. “With Japan,” Paul Smith says, “it is more than just a business.”
