Abstract

The control device of a positive yarn feeder 86 in a knitting machine, particularly a flat knitting machine, receives signals relating to the individual needles, in particular needle selection signals, so that the yarn feed rate is adjusted to the requirements for the individual stitches. A tension sensor 92 may also be provided and there may also be control of stitch cams 96,98 and of the fabric take-down means in accordance with the measured tension. [on SciFinder (R)]
