    Abstract

    Elimination reaction (1Z,3E)-PhCR:NN:NSMe (R = NMe2, morpholino) in CH2Cl2 contg. CuCN as catalyst at ∼0° for 30 min gave (E)-PhCR:NSMe [R = NMe2 (I), morpholino] in 75 and 84% yield, resp. The structure of I was detd. by x-ray crystallog. anal. [on SciFinder(R)]
