Abstract

This editorial provides an overview of the recent progress of research in the evolution of communication and Interaction Studies by analysing the articles in the three issues published in 2011. This allows us to appreciate the scientific advances in this field, as well as identifying the new, emerging research directions and methodological developments. We plan to publish such an overview article yearly, in the first issue of each volume.
