    Abstract

A simple, mild procedure is described for attaching proteins covalently to glass surfaces. The density of protein may be controlled and quantitated. The adhesive behavior of BHK cells on surfaces coated with con A is described and further applications of similar "model extracellular matrices" are suggested. © 1981.
