Abstract

Recent advances in self-validating sensors and statistical process control algorithms were discussed. The hierarchial structure allowed faults to be identified robustly at the lowest possible level. The exchange of condition monitoring information allowed the process to be retained under control and/or monitoring after certain faults were identified.
