Abstract

The James Lind Alliance works with health care professionals and patients to identify uncertainties in research. Priority Setting Partnerships (PSPs) have worked in a variety of health care areas, by using a well-established methodology, which results in the identification of the ‘top 10’ priorities for future research. Dermatology has successfully utilised the PSP process in the context of eczema, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa and cellulitis. In 2017-2018, a Psoriasis PSP (PsPSP) is being carried out by a team at The University of Manchester in conjunction with the James Lind Alliance and a steering group comprising equal numbers of clinicians and people with psoriasis. This paper outlines the PsPSP methodology and calls out to the readership of Dermatological Nursing to participate in the PsPSP survey. The PsPSP ‘top ten’ research priorities for psoriasis will be published in 2018.
