Abstract
The radiation-chemical grafting of cationic monomer vinyl ether of monoethanolamine on polyethylene films has been done. The general peculiarities of the grafting have been studied by gravimetric, potentiometric and FTIR methods. The influence of absorbed dose as well as the presence of water in monomer mixture on the grafting degree, water and copper (2+) ions uptake by the grafted films was evaluated. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd.
