    Abstract

Raman spectroscopy is an emerging technol. and near IR, visible and UV Raman show great potential for the monitoring of metabolites, along with enhancement techniques such as resonance Raman, SERS and SERRS. Raman has been used to monitor effectively blood analytes, which will be very beneficial in the medical field particularly for diabetic patients. It has also been shown to be a useful technique for monitoring biochem. changes of tissue cells, an important step towards the chem. understanding of cancer diagnostics. [on SciFinder (R)]
