Abstract
for improving process system integration performance, an approach based on web service and STEP standard is proposed. Since the information integration is the basis of the system integration, an information model is discussed firstly. STEP standard is employed to describe the information in uniform format with EXPRESS modeling language. Secondly, with the application of web service, the process system integration approach is issued. The advances and features of the proposed approach are discussed. Finally, a case of the synthesis process of ethyl p-hydroxyl benzoate is studied to verify the practicability of the proposed process system integration approach. © 2010 IEEE.
