Abstract
The presence of right ventricular dysfunction in patients w/fh acute myocardial infarction has important implications. It is a marker for inhospital mortality and failure to recognize it may lead to inappropriate treatment with serious consequences for the patient. Patients surviving the acute event do, however, have a relatively good long-term prognosis.
