Abstract

This book first introduces readers to the typical contexts in which scientific and technical translators work and shows how corpus resources can be used for terminological and phraseological research. It then analyses a range of technical and scientific genres and examines typical translation practices, with chapters dedicated to technical instructions, data sheets and brochures, patents, scientific research articles and abstracts, popular science press releases and news reports.
