N2 - While the new generation of screen magnifiers might offer more features, they might not necessarily become more effective. Performing usability studies helps researchers understand issues related to screen magnifier design, especially in terms of interface, function, and features. Iterative, user-centered design in which prototypes are evaluated and improved them in successive cycles has helped understand users' perception on the effectiveness of various magnifier features.
