    Abstract

The use of raw seawater injection for reservoir pressure maintenance is one of the technology initiatives aimed at reducing facilities costs. The RAWWATER program is a United Kingdom/Norway joint industry study focusing on the impact of raw seawater on both reservoir performance and injection well material selection. Other companies have also joined together to finance RAWWATER ENGINEERING, another research program focusing entirely on seawater filtration technologies.
