Abstract
Process-oriented capability outsourcing is a type of B2B collaboration in which one organisation outsources parts of its business process to other organisations known as service providers. Current models and solution approaches for service selection in process-oriented capability outsourcing do not provide support for horizontal multi-sourcing-the ability to dynamically outsource a business capability to multiple independent service providers. This paper presents a new problem model for service selection based on the notion of request tokens, and evaluates three solution approaches to the problem: integer programming, tree-search heuristic and genetic algorithm.
