    Abstract

    Soluble and crosslinked films based on compositions of poly(acrylic acid) and poly(2-hydroxyethyl vinyl ether) were prepared. Solubility, morphology, mechanical characteristics, and swelling properties of the films were investigated. Potential applications of the polymer complex films in controlled drug delivery were also examined.
