    Abstract

We show through sequence analysis of rearranged immunoglobulin variable (Ig-V) region genes from memory B cells of mouse mutants generated by gene targeting that terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase, CD23, interleukin-4, IgD and CD30 are dispensable for somatic hypermutation.
