    Abstract

This paper uses the Weighted Average Flux (WAF) scheme blended with the Switching Technique for Advection and Capturing of Surfaces (STACS) scheme for high-resolution flux limiters. This provides sharpness and boundedness of the interface between dispersed and carrier phases. The Eulerian-Eulerian spray model based on the moments of the number size distribution of drops developed by Beck and Watkins (Proc. Roy. Soc. Lond, 2003) is used to describe the two phases. The scheme is tested by evaluating the sheet thickness of a hollow cone spray, with comparisons made against results using TVD schemes with the same flux limiters. Results show that the WAF scheme is more accurate.
