Abstract

The use of computers in management training is very common these days and still evolving. Computer simulation games are an important apect of this development but, as with most applications, need to be updated from time to time as a result of major improvements in background technology. This article describes how a standalone business game developed in 1987 was converted to run on the LOTUS 1-2-3 spreadsheet system The resultant package has been found to have a number of distinct advantages over the original game - but there are costs also.
